5th Assessment

the honey comb pattern in this assessment meant to be projected to the surface of a vase like object. To make it more interesting, the vase is made based on twisted hexagon column.

The final shape of the model changed, instead of using a pot shaped base model, it becomes a cluster of hexagonal shape  by using hexagrid command. At the end, the model size and complexity need to reduced so that it is able to be print during the time frame.

4th Assessment

In this assessment i made puzzle based on hexagon pieces. On the top and bottom surface there are faces that are extruded to make the joining of the puzzle.

On the front view (right bottom), we can see that the sides are not flat. There are 3 layers in this model; the top layer and bottom layer are extruded faces of the 2nd layer of the model.

When the model printed, a problem appeared where the bits where it meant to be the connection doesnt click  with each other because the size of the hole and the extruded part is the same

Update of 2nd Ass

The model is similar to the previous version, but the coding is similar. I used different bits of samples and work out to combine them into my own model. In this version, the Sdiff meant to work, but the changes that i have made seems like havent been saved.

Assessment  2

This honey comb pattern is meant to be the pattern on a surface of a twisted cylinder. But since the way of making it is complicated, i need to remake most of the file.

The way how to make the honey comb is :
1. Start with a point, then make a line starting from the point
2. Rotate the line 6x until they form the hexagon
3. Make a smaller hexagon inside the first hexagon, then make it into a plane
4. Extrude the plane, and copy the hexagon into a pattern

Having the pattern ready but cant be transformed into a shape, i need to remake most of them, starting with the cylinder first then the honey comb pattern.

Assessment 1

The script is made to make N shape on rhino.
The way how it works is :
1. Make a rectangle with the specified measurement that the shape suppose to have
2. Then make 2 triangles on the rectangle and separate it from the the rectangle
3. Hide the triangle and extrude the N shape
4. Last, explode the constructor of the N shape so that it can be printed on laser printer
